If someone is in immediate danger, seriously ill or injured, missing at sea, or there is a fire or serious accident, call Malta’s emergency services now. Calls are free and 112 can be called without a SIM card.

2. Give your exact location, village, road, nearby landmark or live map location.
3. Explain what happened, how many people are affected and whether anyone is unconscious, bleeding, trapped or in immediate danger.
4. Give your telephone number, follow the operator’s instructions and do not end the call until told to do so.
Visitors seeking medical care should take their passport or identity document, EHIC or GHIC where applicable, travel insurance details and a list of medicines or allergies if safely available.
