Village Guide
Village Overview
Kerċem, set just southwest of Victoria, is one of Gozo’s greenest and most picturesque villages. Framed by Lunzjata Valley, rolling hills, and the fields stretching toward Xlendi cliffs, it offers a peaceful escape into nature and authentic Gozitan culture. Archaeological finds show Kerċem was among Gozo’s earliest settled areas, with Roman baths and an early Christian cemetery. The village is famous for its dual patron saints, vibrant tradition of annual festas, and its proximity to the rural hamlet of Santa Luċija, which preserves deep local ways and spectacular countryside scenery.
